COMPOS is a programme for STEM-talented students in Years 10-12 (and returning students in Year 13) who want to push their understanding beyond the school curriculum in both physics and maths. UK state-school students receive a full bursary to participate.

New students can now register their interest to join COMPOS for the 2026-27 programme year. (Please note: Returning COMPOS students should use the unique link sent to them via email.)

Timeline: Register your interest in the programme now through to September. Then, keep an eye out for the entrance assignment on 17th August and submit your work by 1st October for a possible place in the programme for 2026-27.

Timeline Overview

May-AugustStudents register their interest via an online form; COMPOS hires tutors for the next academic year.
August-OctoberStudents complete an entrance assignment; in October, students are awarded a place based on their submission.
October-JulyWeekly online tutorials run from October to spring for Years 11 and 13, and from November to July for Years 10 and 12.
